Key Objectives

To support the Forecasting Manager in the delivery of regular and ad hoc sales analysis, as well as revenue and unit forecasts and effective stock management throughout the year across all brands and business units.


Key Tasks

  •  To assist the Forecasting Manager in providing various levels of sales performance analysis for all business areas, establishing significant factors that drive both positive and negative performance.
  • To support the sales teams with preparation, review and management of demand forecasts.
  • To work closely with the Forecasting Manager and other key stakeholders to understand key trade driving activities and ensure they are accurately captured in the forecasts.
  • To attend monthly forecasting and stock review meetings with the Forecasting Manager and account management team
    • Capture commercial decisions that impact demand forecasts
    • Review current stock holding and identify new purchase requirements
  • Support the Forecasting Manager in briefings of purchase requirements, as well as monitoring open orders, working closely with other members of the supply chain team.
  • To assist with monthly reviews of sales forecasts vs. targets and actual performance.
  • To measure and report on forecast accuracy at both SKU and brand level.
  • Forecast future behaviour via application of data analysis and data modelling techniques to establish trends and forecasts.
  • To assist the Forecasting Manager in preparation for quarterly brand strategy meetings.
  • Monitor and assist in recording / reporting of customer’s commercial activities.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to establish improved processes to standardise our approach to forecasting and fully integrate within business IT and software systems.
  • Propose and execute measures to improve the quality of the forecast where appropriate.
  • To use curiosity and analytical integrity to ensure the data presented is accurate and meaningful.


Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as business, marketing, mathematics, statistics or management
  • Experience of forecasting within a formal demand management process, including Sales and Operations planning process, and utilising ERP and forecasting software
  • High level of commercial acumen and awareness of current trends within beauty and lifestyle industry
  • Ability to interpret complex sets of information and identify challenges before they arise
  • Highly competent and creative with numerical data
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail
  • Computer literate – able to use MS Software applications, especially Excel to an advanced level
